The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is moving forward with plans to rebuild a 4.5-kilometre stretch of Highway 7 in Perth, and the public is invited to have a say.
The Ministry has hired Egis and LEA Consulting Ltd. as part of a joint venture to complete the Detail Design and Environmental Assessment from about 1.3 km west of County Road 511 to Wayside Drive West.
Locals can learn more and ask questions at a Public Information Centre (PIC) on May 29, 2025, at the Perth Legion (26 Beckwith St. E). Business owners are welcome from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The public can drop in from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The project team will share designs and gather feedback. A final report will be posted online for public comment. Visit highway7improvements.com for more details or to submit input.
