Mississippi Mills has joined the ParticipACTION Challenge and is urging everyone to get outside and get active in June. There’s a full month of activities planned and it all starts on Monday June 2nd. Mayor Christa Lowry has the details
It starts at the Alameda in Almonte and there will be warm-up activities, entertainment from local celebrity, Jon Lockhart of the Cowguys and food vendors on site. Other events for June involve Tai Chi, pickleball, cycling, paddling, yoga, HIIT fitness, and outdoor lessons on restoring natural movement just to name a few. Christa says the shear number of opportunities for physical activity and outdoor recreation are amazing in the Mills.
Participants are urged to take the get-active pledge and register their activities with ParticipACTION to help the Mills win the title of Canada’s Most Active Community. Christa says the reward is substantial.
You can find all the details for June’s events at mississippimills.ca/getactive and take the pledge and register your participation at particpaction.com.
