Lanark County council has finalized the list of issues it will bring forward at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference this August.
Two of the six requested delegations focus on support for the county’s homelessness initiatives, while a third calls for changes to the insurance system related to fire coverage.
The county is also seeking provincial support for the sale and future use of the soon-to-close Perth campus of Algonquin College.
Other requests include funding for stop-arm cameras on school buses, and attention to Iceland’s youth-focused model for alcohol and drug prevention.
