For regular users of sidewalks in Perth, nothing is more annoying or dangerous for some, than tripping hazards due to uneven walking surfaces. At a recent meeting of Perth council’s committee, Town Director Grant Machan explained how his staff determines whether a tripping hazard is pronounced enough to warrant action.
Perth sets aside funds to repair sidewalks every year to minimize tripping risks. Machan reports on how much is spent and how many problems are addressed.
