Carleton Place residents can expect traffic delays and detours as town crews tackle several construction projects this week.
The Public Works Department says work is planned on Bennett and Duncan Streets, where crews are reinstating concrete curbs where needed. On Ann and Brown Streets, workers are replacing granular materials, and a new catch basin will be installed on Ann Street to improve drainage.
Black and McDonald Ltd. will also begin setting up at the Princess Street and Findlay Avenue sanitary pumping stations. Construction fencing will go up around both sites next week to help keep the public safe.
The town reminds residents that weather, staffing, and supply issues can affect schedules. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes or slow down and follow signs and flaggers when passing through work zones.
Anyone with questions can contact the Public Works office at 613-257-2253.
