A 40-year-old man from Merrickville-Wolford Township has been charged with impaired driving following a rollover crash on County Road 43 in Montague Township.
Just after 7:30 a.m. on June 10, 2025, OPP officers from the Lanark and Grenville detachments responded to reports of a speeding pickup truck that rolled into a ditch after passing another vehicle near Kilmarnock Road.
Police broke the windshield to free the driver, who was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Breath tests showed a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit.
Andrew Rochon faces multiple Criminal Code charges, including impaired operation, driving over 80, and dangerous driving. He also faces provincial charges for improper tires and having an open container of liquor.
Rochon was released with a court date in Perth. The OPP reminds the public to never drive impaired and to plan ahead when consuming alcohol.
