Hydro One crews are working around the clock to restore power to thousands still in the dark across central and eastern Ontario after a weekend of severe thunderstorms.
The storms Saturday night and early Sunday morning brought down tree limbs and branches, damaging power lines and equipment.
While crews expect to make major progress today, officials say some customers may still be without power for several more hours.
With extreme heat in the forecast for the next few days, residents are urged to check their local township or municipal websites for available cooling centres. Staying cool is vital—especially for children, seniors, and anyone with health concerns.
Hydro One encourages residents to monitor restoration updates and outage locations online at their Storm Centre Map: hydroone.com/stormcentre-outage-map.
