An 18-year-old man from Smiths Falls is facing several charges following a months-long intimate partner violence investigation led by the Lanark County OPP.
Police say the incidents began on December 31, 2024, in Tay Valley Township and continued until June 18, 2025. Two victims were involved in the case.
The accused was arrested and charged with assault, intimidation, uttering threats, and criminal harassment.
He was held in custody and appeared for a bail hearing on June 18 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identities of the victims.
