The Smiths Falls seniors building will be renamed the Bud Fawcett Memorial Activity Senior Centre.
It was one of three listed options from staff the public provided feedback on, and it was the one Councillor Jay Brennan said was his family’s favourite.
Fawcett, who died in April, was a long-time seniors centre advocate who attended and helped organize events seven days a week.
Staff will now get costing on signage before an expected celebration ceremony.
