Local foundation doubles every MRI donation until September
The Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation has announced a generous matching gift from The Dave and Ann Trick Family Foundation to support its ongoing MRI fundraising campaign.
Foundation CEO Margot Hallam says the Family sets a wonderful example.
Until September 1, every donation made will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $60,000.
The MRI at the Smiths Falls site has already scanned more than 3,500 patients since going live in November 2023, helping doctors detect serious conditions earlier and deliver faster care.
However, while operational, the machine is not fully paid for. Hallam says that money comes solely from fundraising.
The Foundation is now in the second year of a three-year, $6.1 million campaign to fund the MRI. So far, community support has raised $3.1 million.
This matching campaign offers a powerful opportunity to double your impact and help sustain this life-saving service.
