My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), parent company of 88.1 myFM is pleased to announce the sale of 92.3 CJET in Smiths Falls has been approved by the CRTC.
With just a few more details to work out, it shouldn’t be long until the station is run by MBC.
President Jon Pole says that means more local content for Smiths Falls on the air, than they’ve seen in a long time.
As for what it means for 88.1 myFM, Pole says it’s a case of the more the merrier.
The news was a long time coming too. The purchase agreement was first announced last November.
Now that the wait is over (just about), Pole says all involved are eager for the next steps, and eventual launch of the new 92.3 Smiths Falls station and two others in Tilsonburg approved at the same time.
Stay tuned for a launch date, and more details about our new sister station, the new CJET 92.3.
