Barn Door Productions is bringing the glitz and glam of the 1920s to the stage in a bold take on Love’s Labour’s Lost.
The classic Shakespeare comedy is getting a roaring ‘20s makeover—flappers, lounge lizards, and even a live Dixieland band.
The play has been adapted by Producing Director David Jacklin, who promises a fast-paced, fun-filled ride through love, wit, and wordplay.
Jacklin says its taken quite an effort by many to get the show ready to go.
The show runs July 24 to 26 at the Crystal Palace in Perth, known for its historic charm. Jacklin says a recent retrofit makes the Palace a great venue.
For this weekend the space is offering audiences an immersive “Bard Under Glass” experience.
