The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) is proposing updates to its fee schedules, with changes set to take effect September 1, 2025.
The new fees would apply to stewardship services, visitor services like facility rentals, and corporate services.
Among the proposed changes: shoreline planting services will now include labour and travel costs, with a base rate of $510 plus mileage.
Plant plug prices are set to rise from $3 to $5. A 50% surcharge will also apply in violation cases requiring replanting.
At the Mill of Kintail, the minimum facility rental time will drop to 2 hours, and new full-site event bookings will be available at $3,000 per day.
Meanwhile, the rental of the MVCA Boardroom will be limited to non-profit partners.
Residents can review the proposed changes here and send feedback to info@mvc.on.ca by August 25.
MVCA says the update supports cost recovery and community needs.
