Smiths Falls is gearing up for Old Home Week 2025 from August 2 to 9, with several temporary road closures planned to support parades and events.
On Saturday Beckwith Street will close at 11 a.m. from Chambers to Elmsley Street North for the Pre-Opening Parade kickoff.
The main Opening Parade starts at 1:30 p.m. from the Smiths Falls Community Centre on Lansdowne Street and follows Elmsley Street North, Beckwith Street, and Jasper Avenue to Lower Reach Park.
Glen and Gladstone avenues will close from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for parade float staging. Jasper Avenue/Old Slys Road will be closed from noon to 5:30 p.m. between Vincent and Queen streets, with detours in place.
