The South East Health Unit has completed its investigation into a Salmonella outbreak linked to the Rocky River Café in Perth.
The outbreak began after several people ate at the restaurant around July 15. Officials say there were seven confirmed cases and 11 others who developed symptoms but were not tested.
Health inspectors believe the source was cross-contamination from improper food handling practices. No specific menu item has been identified.
The café’s operator has been cooperative and has taken the necessary steps for the closure order to be lifted. Follow-up inspections have confirmed there is no ongoing risk to the public.
The health unit says the outbreak is now over and inspection reports are available online.
