The Town of Carleton Place has launched a new waste collection app to help residents stay organized and informed about curbside services.
Residents can now access Recycle Coach on desktop or mobile devices for free.
The app offers personalized curbside collection calendars, real-time service disruption alerts, and a “What Goes Where?” search tool to make recycling and waste disposal easier.
It also includes quizzes, tips, and a geolocation reporting tool for missed collections or questions to Town staff.
The switch comes ahead of Ontario’s move to Extended Producer Responsibility, which will see recycling standardized provincewide on January 1, 2026 under Circular Materials Ontario.
Recycle Coach will integrate with the future provincial app and is more cost-effective than the current system.
The existing Carleton Place Waste Solutions app will no longer be supported after December 1, 2025.
