The Smiths Falls Bears want to get over the hump and win the Bogart Cup this season.
Head Coach Pat Malloy felt they put up the biggest challenge to the Rockland Nationals in the semifinals last year, before the Nats swept Carleton Place to win the cup.
The Nationals were ranked the top Jr. A club in Canada for a long stretch of last season, never slipping below the top 20.
Malloy feels they’ve complimented the roster well this summer and they’ll play to their strengths.
Malloy noted the majority of the Bears core in recent years remains the same.
The Bears made consecutive Bogart Cup finals under Malloy in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, but fell in both to Ottawa and Navan, respectively.
