The Smiths Falls Fire Department is inviting the community to its Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
The free event, hosted with the Smiths Falls Firefighters Association, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Youth Arena.
It’s also a fundraiser for Camp Bucko, Ontario’s camp for kids recovering from burn injuries.
Fire Prevention Officer Jason Smith says one of the day’s biggest highlights will be the “Pull the Pumper” challenge at 1 p.m., where teams will compete to pull a fire truck.
Smith says the region’s fire departments put pride on the line, and so can any group.
Smith says families can also enjoy “Touch the Truck,” which lets kids and adults explore fire trucks and equipment up close.
There will also be displays from community sports groups showcasing what Smiths Falls has to offer.
Smith says the event is all about fun, community, and connection.
Families are encouraged to come out, take part, and cheer on their local firefighters.
