Lanark County is inviting residents to nominate a local hero for the 2025 Award of Excellence. The annual award celebrates individuals and businesses who’ve made an exceptional impact on life in the county.
Nominations are open in five categories:
- Volunteerism, Community Service, and Youth
- Business, Agriculture, Industry, and Tourism
- Heritage and Ecology
- Arts, Culture, Recreation, and Sports
- Philanthropy
The deadline to apply is September 30, 2025. Details are available at lanarkcounty.ca/government/grants-programs.
Past recipients include community champions like Joan Southwell, Jan Watson, Wendy O’Keefe, Matt Mould, and Cliff Bennett.
