Local man Matt Wallace bowled the first perfect game at Smiths Falls Gratton Lanes in 36 years on September 14th.
It occurred during the MBAO’s Henry Fehr Invitational Doubles tournament.
A bowler for over 45 years, Wallace told us it was the second perfect game of his life.
But this one meant a little more to him, coming off the heels of a health scare with his father.
It was around the eighth frame Wallace knew a perfect game was in the cards that weekend. That’s when he asked his wife to start recording, and he even put his father on FaceTime so he could witness the final strike.
Wallace told us what he enjoys the most about the sport.
He thanked Gratton Lanes Owner John White for letting him practice there twice a week.
Wallace also represents the Quebec Lumberjacks in a national league where teams bowl in their respective local alleys with the matches livestreamed on YouTube.
