If you’re looking to get active, Horseshoe League registration is happening tonight at the Toledo Legion from 6:30 to 7:30. Play runs one night a week at 7, and you can call 613-285-6666 for details.
For music fans, Merrickville is the place to be tonight with the First Thursday Songwriters Showcase at The Pews. It starts at 7:30 — tickets are $20 in advance or $30 at the door.
Tomorrow in Perth, the Curling Club kicks off its 150th anniversary with “150 Ends” of continuous play right through Sunday. Along with the curling, there’s a silent auction, pancake breakfast, raffle, and more.
And if you’re hungry in Smiths Falls tomorrow evening, the Legion is serving up Fish and Chips from 4 to 7. Meals are $15, with extra fish available for $10.

In the CCHL: Smiths Falls host the Renfrew Wolves at 7:30 tomorrow. On Sunday, they head back to Kemptville for a game at 2:00pm. The Carleton Place Canadians are off until Sunday when they welcome Hawkesbury.
EOJHL play has the Smiths Falls Jr. Bears hosting the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians this evening at 7:30. Tomorrow sees the Perth Blue Wings host the Ottawa Jr. Canadians at 7:30. Saturday sees Carleton Place head to Glengarry to take on the Brigade at 8:00, while Smiths Falls welcomes Athens a 7:30.
