
Here’s what’s up!
Perth Curling Club is celebrating 150 years this weekend with “150 Ends” of continuous play running Friday through Sunday. There’s also a silent auction, skills competitions, pancake breakfast, raffle, and a Sunday luncheon.
In Smiths Falls Friday, the Legion is serving up Fish and Chips from 4 to 7 at 7 Main Street East. It’s $15 for one piece, with extra fish available for $10.
Saturday, Oktoberfest takes over The Tap Room at Settlers Ridge Centre from 2 to 10. Enjoy live music, charity games, sausages, and drinks from 4 Degrees Brewing and Distilling. Admission is free.
Also Saturday, Montague Airport is hosting Mighty Machines starting at 11 a.m. Entry is $5 and includes a hot dog and drink. Kids under two get in free, but don’t forget — it’s cash only.
Local Sports:
In the CCHL: Smiths Falls hosts the Renfrew Wolves at 7:30 tonight. On Sunday, they head to Kemptville for a game at 2:00pm. The Carleton Place Canadians are off until Sunday when they welcome Hawkesbury.
EOJHL play has the Perth Blue Wings host the Ottawa Jr. Canadians at 7:30. Saturday sees Carleton Place head to Glengarry to take on the Brigade at 8:00, while Smiths Falls welcomes Athens at 7:30.
