The Lanark County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has laid charges after a late-night incident at a party in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.
Police say officers were called to a residence on Saturday, September 27, 2025, just after 11:30 p.m., after reports that a large group of people had been pepper sprayed. Investigators also learned that the suspect was involved in a physical altercation before fleeing the area.
The individual was later stopped by Ottawa Police.
As a result of the investigation, 18-year-old Jasper Rohani of Ottawa has been charged with administering a noxious thing, assault with a weapon, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Rohani was released from custody and had a scheduled court appearance.
