The Perth OPP is receiving over $335,000 in new funding to strengthen community safety and support vulnerable residents.
The funds will expand the detachment’s PULSE program and Collaborating for a Safer Lanark County initiative.
PULSE (Prevent, Uplift, Learn, Support, Engage) Lanark County 2.0 focuses on helping victims of violence, homelessness, and mental health or addiction challenges through collaboration and prevention. The additional funding will also support the long-running Lanark County Situation Table, which connects police and community partners to assist those most at risk.
Inspector Kerlous Tawdrous said the grants will “foster ongoing collaboration” and provide resources to better support victims of crime.
MPP John Jordan praised the projects, saying they reflect Ontario’s commitment to community safety. Across the province, 127 police projects are being supported in 2025–26 through the Community Safety and Policing Grant Program.
