Lanark County OPP have charged a Tay Valley Township man following an investigation into threats reported earlier this week.
Police say officers began the investigation on Monday, October 9, 2025. As a result, 43-year-old Marcel Vanoort has been charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Vanoort has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The investigation remains ongoing.
