High winds continue to cause power outages across eastern Ontario, leaving Hydro One crews busy from the northwestern part of our listening area, Tweed to Picton, Belleville and Bancroft. The utility says the storm is expected to last into Monday morning, with strong gusts still toppling trees and downing lines.
Outages north of Snow Road Station aren’t expected to be restored until around 5 p.m., while another near Poland could be back before noon. Other areas to the west may remain without power until later tonight.
Hydro One says crews are assessing damage before estimating full restoration times. Residents are reminded to stay clear of downed lines and report outages by texting 92887 (WATTS) or checking the online outage map at HydroOne.com or through the app.
