Today, Michele’s Doorway to Splendor hosts “Walking for the Cure in Fall Fashion” from 6 to 8 p.m. at 10 Beckwith St. S., Smiths Falls. Tickets are $25, with proceeds supporting the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Mammogram Department.
Also today, the Perth and District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Soirée begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Crystal Palace and Studio Theatre, featuring entertainment by River City Junction. Tickets are $65; register at https://members.perthchamber.com/events.
Tomorrow, from October 24 to 31, the Smiths Falls Public Library hosts 13 Ghosts of Crowley Manor, a free escape room for all ages. Registration is required at smithsfallslibrary.ca/events-programs.
Tomorrow at 5 p.m., the library also presents Afterhours Horror Club: Scream for ages 18+ with free popcorn—register online.
The Kinsmen of Smiths Falls host Wings Night tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kinsmen Pavilion, Lower Reach Park, featuring food, local spirit, and community fun.
In local hockey action:
Local CCHL play resumes tomorrow when the Smiths Falls Bears host the Navan Grads at 7:30. Carleton Place visits Kemptville at 7:30.
On Saturday Smiths Falls plays in Ottawa against the Jr. Senators at 7:30.
Then Sunday, Carleton Placed is in Nepean for a 2:30 start.
In the EOJHL: The Smiths Falls Bears host the Athens Aeros Thursday at 7:30, while Perth is in Casselman, also at 7:30.
Perth is back at it on Friday when they head to Embrum to play the Panthers at 8. Carleton Place visits Winchester.
Carleton Place is home to Glengarry on Saturday. That’s a 7:30 start.
And Sunday, Smiths Falls visits Richmond at 1:20.
