The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Lanark Highlands Township resident following a traffic stop earlier last week.
Officers stopped a vehicle just after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, on Highway 7 in Mississippi Mills Township.
The driver was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment in Carleton Place for testing.
As a result, 20-year-old Cameron Carlisle has been charged with:
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Speeding 1–49 km/h over the posted limit
- Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
- Young driver – B.A.C. above zero
- Driving with an open container of liquor
Carlisle was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on November 9, 2025.
