The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital (PSFDH) is making it easier for patients to get MRI scans by adding evening hours.
The hospital, which currently performs about 3,100 MRI exams each year, began offering extended hours on October 16. The change is expected to add 70 to 85 extra MRI appointments weekly, helping to reduce wait times and improve access to care.
Behrooz Izadi, Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Services, says the move will help meet the growing needs of patients while maintaining high-quality care.
The hospital’s foundation continues fundraising efforts for the MRI campaign, which supports new diagnostic equipment and technology.
Donations help ensure the hospital can continue to provide timely, reliable imaging services close to home.
Foundation CEO Margot Hallam says community support is vital to achieving better outcomes for patients. More information is available at www.psfdhfoundation.com
