Lanark, Leeds and Grenville residents may see the season’s first snowflakes today as we could be in for a mix of rain and wet snow in the region.
Environment Canada says periods of rain will begin this morning, with 10 to 15 millimetres expected before temperatures drop enough for snow to mix in late this afternoon. Winds will shift northeast at 20 kilometres an hour, with a high near six degrees.
Tonight, rain and snow will taper off, leaving a chance of flurries or showers and a low around minus one.
Thursday brings a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of early morning flurries before skies clear later in the day. Friday could see another round of rain or snow with a high near five.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and watch for slippery roads during the first taste of winter.
