The Perth Community Choir is spreading holiday joy with its upcoming production of Elf the Musical, directed by David Bird.
The family-friendly show opens Thursday, November 13, at the Mason Auditorium at PDCI and runs through the weekend with evening and matinee performances.
Bird says Elf the Musical has been two years in the making after delays in securing performance rights.
He describes it as a “snappy, happy” adaptation of the popular movie — not a scene-by-scene copy, but a lively reimagining packed with catchy songs that nod to classic Broadway eras.
Bird calls the production “a joyful experience” and says audiences can expect affordable fun for the whole family.
The cast includes performers of all ages from Perth and nearby communities, with volunteers handling everything from sound and lighting to costumes.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for youth or children, available at PerthCommunityChoir.com.
