A powerful documentary on Canada’s Afghanistan mission screens tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Studio Theatre Perth on Gore Street East. Tickets are 20 dollars, and 10 for veterans, available at the Perth Legion. For details, call 613-267-4400.
In Smiths Falls, The Falls Food Hub is serving up free community meals every Monday at Hanley Hall on McGill Street. Doors open at 11, lunch is served at noon, and everyone is welcome.
Also in Smiths Falls, the R.C.A.F.A. 443 Rideau Wing hosts Monday Night Mixed Singles Darts at the R.C.A.F.A. Hall in Settlers Ridge Centre. Games run from 7 to 10, with two levels of play and new players always welcome. Call Linda at 613-283-3668 for more info.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, the Hackberry Men’s Shed meets at 6:45 p.m. in the Carleton Place Arena boardroom on Neelin Street. It’s free and open to all mature men.

On Saturday Smiths Falls hosts Renfrew, and Carleton Place is in Rockland. Those are both 7:30 starts.
Sunday has Carleton Place hosting Kemptville 3:00.
In the EOJHL: The Smiths Falls Jr. Bears host the Perth Blue Wings Thursday at 7:30.
Perth is back at it Friday, hosting Renfrew at 7:30.
Saturday has Smiths Falls in Ottawa at 7:00 and Carleton Place hosts Richmond at 7:30.
Then on Sunday, Carleton Place is in Richmond at 1:20 and Perth heads to Athens for 2:30.
