Here’s what’s up!
Communities across Lanark County will gather Tuesday, November 11, for Remembrance Day ceremonies honouring those who served and sacrificed for Canada.
In Smiths Falls, the traditional service will be held at the Main Cenotaph on Beckwith Street at 11 a.m. sharp. Before the ceremony, the parade will make its way through downtown, crossing the new Veterans Memorial Crosswalk en route to the park.
In Perth, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 244 will host a service at 11 a.m. at the Great War Memorial Hospital. Guests can pause to reflect during the wreath-laying and the Ode of Remembrance.
Carleton Place’s Captain A. Roy Brown Branch 192 will hold its annual parade, forming at 10:15 a.m. beside Town Hall on Mill Street. The parade steps off at 10:30 and proceeds along Bridge Street and Franklin to Veterans Way for the 11 a.m. ceremony at the Cenotaph.

On Friday, Smiths Falls welcomes Renfrew at 7:30.
Saturday has Smiths Falls hosting Renfrew again, while Carleton Place visits Rockland — both games start at 7:30.
Sunday, Carleton Place returns home to face Kemptville at 3:00.

The Smiths Falls Jr. Bears host the Perth Blue Wings Thursday at 7:30.
Perth is back in action Friday, hosting Renfrew at 7:30.
Saturday sees Smiths Falls in Ottawa at 7:00, while Carleton Place hosts Richmond at 7:30.
On Sunday, Carleton Place travels to Richmond for a 1:20 start, and Perth visits Athens at 2:30.
