Perth is getting ready for one of its biggest holiday celebrations of the year, as the Perth BIA presents Once Upon a Christmas this Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
BIA Coordinator Nancy Wing says the all-day festival offers activities spread throughout the downtown.
The kids’ program at the Perth Museum features Santa’s Workshop, letters to Santa with Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating and treats from roaming elves. Santa arrives around noon.
Visitors can browse the popular Vendor’s Market, enjoy free hot chocolate at several stops, and take in free wagon rides sponsored by Lanark Lifestyles departing from Crystal Palace.
Wing says they’ll have some great musicians playing in front of a festive backdrop inside the decorated Crystal Palace.
Families can look forward to face painting and snow toffee, while adults can unwind in a licensed Adult Chill Zone hosted by Top Shelf and Artisan Kombucha, complete with fire tables and Adirondack chairs.
This year also features a special Learn to Curl area marking the Perth Curling Club’s 150th anniversary.
Local shops and restaurants will be open with specials throughout the day.
