Lanark County OPP have charged a Stittsville resident after stopping a speeding vehicle early on November 19th.
Officers observed the vehicle just before 12:30 a.m. on County Road 43 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.
Police say the driver, 29-year-old Brady Newbold, was arrested and brought to the Perth detachment for testing.
Investigators later learned the vehicle had been involved in a fail-to-remain collision in the Ottawa area.
Newbold faces several charges including impaired driving, failing to remain, failing to report an accident, and driving with liquor readily available.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in Perth on December 15.
