A Leeds County man is facing a long list of criminal charges after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a late-night call involving intimate partner violence.
Police say officers were called to a home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, shortly before 10 p.m., after a man allegedly refused to leave the residence. Following an investigation, officers arrested the accused at the scene.
He now faces more than half a dozen Criminal Code charges, including assault, mischief, criminal harassment, and failure to comply with a release order. He is also charged with three counts of break and enter with intent.
The man was remanded into custody after a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville. OPP say the identity of the accused will not be released in order to protect the victim.
Police are reminding residents that support is available. Anyone facing intimate partner violence can contact local agencies through 211 Ontario, and anyone in immediate danger should call 911.
