Smiths Falls Police say one suspect remains at large after a break-and-enter at a local residence on November 29th.
Officers were called after items were taken from a garage, and surveillance camera footage helped investigators identify two suspects.
Police arrested 59-year-old Guy Cote of Smiths Falls without incident. He is charged with trespassing at night and break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence. Cote was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The second suspect, 37-year-old Jordan Wilkinson of Smiths Falls, is still outstanding.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the same two charges. Police describe Wilkinson as a white male, six-foot-three with an average build, and say he is known to frequent the Smiths Falls area.
Anyone with information on Wilkinson’s location is asked to contact Smiths Falls Police at 613-283-0357 or report anonymously to Lanark County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police say community tips often play a key role in closing investigations.
