The Town of Perth is inviting residents aged 55 and older to help shape new seniors’ programs planned for the community.
Town officials say they are preparing a series of free Seniors’ Neighbourhood Social Gatherings and want feedback directly from seniors, as well as caregivers and support people. A short public survey has been launched to gather ideas and suggestions.
The town is asking participants what types of gatherings interest them, where events should be held, and what factors may help or prevent people from taking part. The survey also asks how the gatherings can be made more welcoming, accessible and inclusive for all seniors.
Officials say the survey takes about five to seven minutes to complete and that responses will directly influence how future seniors’ programs and neighbourhood events are designed.
Residents can complete the survey online through the Town of Perth’s engagement website. Paper copies are also available at Perth Town Hall for those who prefer to respond in person.
The town says community input will play a key role in creating programs that reflect local needs and interests.
