Smiths Falls police say a disturbance in the downtown core led to an arrest late last month.
Officers were called to the area on November 26, 2025, after receiving reports of a disturbance. Police responded and took one individual into custody at the scene without further incident.
As a result of the investigation, 50-year-old Steven Saunders of Smiths Falls has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order. Police say the charge stems from conditions Saunders was already under at the time of the incident.
Saunders was later released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Police did not report any injuries connected to the disturbance. The investigation is now considered complete.
