An intimate partner violence investigation in Smiths Falls has resulted in the seizure of multiple firearms.
Smiths Falls Police Service say officers responded to a 9-1-1 call for a disturbance inside a residence on December 18, 2025. One person was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
Police say five firearms and one prohibited firearm were seized as part of the investigation.
A 29-year-old man from Smiths Falls is charged with uttering threats, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, breach of firearms regulations, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail court hearing.
