Project Trauma Support has been named the beneficiary of the 2027 Perth Polar Bear Plunge, a major boost for the organization supporting first responders, military members and veterans.
Dr. Manuela Joannou said the announcement is deeply meaningful for the team and those they serve.
Joannou said the local Legion plays a key role in recovery by bringing people together who share similar experiences.
She added that the organization plans to rally supporters from across Canada to take part in the popular winter fundraiser.
Project Trauma Support works with communities nationwide, while the Perth Polar Bear Plunge raises funds for local causes through an annual cold-water swim.
