The satellite sites of Southeast Public Health will remain open for now.
The board previously contemplated closing seven locations including in Perth, Almonte, Gananoque, Kemptville, Napanee, Picton, and Trenton.
Board member Peter McKenna says the locations will stay open, as the board collects more information for themselves and from the province.
McKenna says they will close office only if it’s neccesary.
McKenna said the recommendation to close satellite sites across the region was rescinded following many delegations and public concern.
