Local MPP Steve Clark will attend a long-awaited ribbon cutting Wednesday, Jan. 28, as the G. Tackaberry and Family Home officially opens.
Clark said the new long-term care home is close to his heart.
He also spoke about a major benefit the home will bring to Leeds and Grenville.
The opening ceremony runs from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the home, located at 746 County Road 42 in Athens, Ont.
About 50 dignitaries, elected officials, project team members and senior county staff are expected to attend.
The opening marks years of planning to expand long-term care services in the region.
