Lanark County council discussed adding no parking signage to three problem area spots Public Works staff have identified.
Staff say residents are routinely parking on Lally Road, County Road 16, and Highway 511.
Public Works Manager Sam Poole explained the issue, which includes the inability to clear roadways.
All three spots are near outdoor recreational attractions.
Carleton Place Mayor Toby Randell says posting no-parking signs raises questions about enforcement.
Council deferred a decision until that could be discussed further.
