The Smiths Falls Police Service is once again preparing to take the plunge in support of Special Olympics, with the annual Polar Plunge set to return in early March.
Constable Sean Keogan says the popular fundraiser is being teased for now, with more details to be released in the coming weeks.
The event is supported by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which helps manage registration and donations.
Keogan says the plunge is always a cold one, but the cause makes it worthwhile.
He says the fundraiser directly benefits Special Olympians in the Smiths Falls area and highlights the strong connection between athletes, police, and the community.
Organizers expect online donations and sponsorships to open several weeks ahead of the plunge, with announcements to be shared on social media as plans are finalized.
