Lanark County OPP have charged a Toronto man with impaired driving after a complaint in Perth.
Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police say they received a report just after midnight on Sunday, February 8, 2026, about a possible impaired driver leaving a business in Perth. Police located the vehicle a short time later in the parking lot of another business and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment in Perth for testing.
Police say 32-year-old Bilal Kahn of Toronto has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and driving while suspended.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Police say the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under an administrative suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
