Scottish Country Dancers meet every Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at McMartin House, 125 Gore Street East in Perth. Led by experienced instructor Simone, the group welcomes new dancers of all levels. Dancing is done in soft shoes to lively jigs, reels, and traditional music.
World Day of Prayer will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 38 Wilson St. E., Perth. The Christian women-led global movement features Nigeria’s theme, “I Will Give You Rest: Come.” All are welcome. Contact Suzanne Foote at 416-550-4020 for details.
The Royal Canadian Legion in Smiths Falls will host a fish and chips night tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at 7 Main St. E. Meals are available for dine-in or takeout. One piece fish and chips costs $15. Pre-orders begin after 3 p.m. at 613-283-2101.
Smiths Falls Community Theatre will host March Movie Weekend with a showing of Wicked: For Good tomorrow at 7 p.m. The screening takes place at the theatre at 53 Victoria Ave. Tickets are $12 and available at the door. Moviegoers are encouraged to arrive early.
The Pews in Merrickville will host a Women’s Day Songwriter Showcase tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. The event takes place at 100 St. Lawrence St. Tickets are $25 plus tax and fees through Eventbrite, or $35 plus tax at the door. The showcase celebrates women in music.
