Two Smiths Falls residents have surrendered to police following investigations into multiple shoplifting incidents in the town.
Police said 36-year-old Donald Campbell and 18-year-old Dante Henderson attended the Smiths Falls Police Station on February 21, 2026, to face outstanding charges.
The cases stemmed from two separate shoplifting investigations in the community.
As a result, both individuals are charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of mischief under $5,000. Police noted that both Campbell and Henderson were later released with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Authorities thanked the public for their support and cooperation in ongoing investigations and reminded residents that shoplifting and mischief offences are taken seriously. Police encouraged anyone with information on similar crimes to come forward.
