Excitement is building in Smiths Falls as residents prepare to take the plunge tomorrow for a good cause.
The 2026 Polar Plunge returns Saturday in support of Special Olympics athletes, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to sign up, form teams and challenge friends, co-workers and local businesses to join the fun.
Smiths Falls Police Service Constable Sean Keogan says the event holds a special place in the community.
Keogan says directing pledges to local athletes helps keep support close to home.
Amenities will be available at Kinsmen Hall in Smiths Falls, and organizers thank the Smiths Falls Fire Department and the Smiths Falls Firefighters Association for their continued support.
