A sold-out crowd gathered in North Grenville this week to celebrate the achievements of women leaders, entrepreneurs and community builders across Leeds Grenville.
About 140 people attended the Leeds Grenville International Women’s Day celebration on March 5 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
The event, presented by Leeds Grenville Economic Development and the Small Business Office, focused on recognition, collaboration and learning under this year’s theme, Together We Rise.
United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Warden Corinna Smith-Gatcke told attendees the event highlighted the strength of women across the region and the importance of supporting one another.
The evening included a networking reception and a panel discussion featuring Rhiannon V. Iles of HFI Pyrotechnics, Cathy Maggio-Howley of Pauline’s Lingerie and Katie Nolan of Grenville Community Futures.
Attendees also visited a “Knowledge Bar,” where local experts shared advice on topics such as marketing, artificial intelligence, wellness and funding opportunities.
The night ended with the Small Business Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Su Ouellette of Sugold Jewellery & Giftware, recognized for her long-standing business success and commitment to giving back to the community.
